Informed Parents of California

Informed Parents of California (IPOC) is a statewide resource to inform parents on critical issues that impact our children’s educational well-being, and the role of parents in education. The goal of IPOC is to have transparency, accountability, and parent involvement at our local public school board and state education level. Thank you for helping protect parental rights and the innocence of our children.

You’ll notice we cover plenty of topics (including curriculum e.g. AB 329/California Healthy Youth Act; legislation; legal challenges; cultural concerns; incursions of the nanny-state; parental rights; student survey, testing and other state-sponsored data collection schemes; violations of Constitutionally-protected freedoms, social-emotional learning SEL; school choice and more).

Important Update on SB673 Amendment

From the office of the bill author Senator Mike Morrell: Our work to increase parental involvement and accessibility in their children’s education is a process that will require perseverance and persistence.
SB 673 is one step toward achieving those goals – thank you for the overwhelming support for this measure. The committee hearing for SB 673 has been temporarily postponed. This will give us more time to increase awareness on the issue and educate the public on the need for this important legislation.

Support California SB 673 – an amendment to AB 329 California Healthy Youth Act! Parents all over California object to AB 329 which mandates Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE).
